Biography

From 1985 to 2016, Dr. Costa was a physician at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro – HUCFF. He is currently the Coordinator of the Breast Nucleus of the Americas Center for Integrated Oncology, as well as a collaborating researcher at the Circular Markers Laboratory of the Pathology Department of FCM-UERJ. He currently serves as Board Member of the Medical Center of the Americas Medical City.

As the author of 29 full-length articles published in national and international magazines, Dr. Costa has also written the following books, Breast Health (Diagraphic), and Health and Beauty of the Breast.

Dr. Costa is the recipient of several awards including the Antonio Franco Montoro Award in 2014, Madame Durocher Award of the National Academy of Medicine in 1997 and 2003, and the Rondon Monograph Award in 1981.
