Dr. Rabinowitz completed her doctorate and postdoctoral certification as a sex therapist. She served as the Director of Oncology Services for a multi-hospital healthcare system in New Jersey and has maintained a private practice in psychotherapy and sex therapy since the early 1980’s.

In addition to serving as a commissioner of the New Jersey Commission on Cancer Research,
she is the recipient of the National Consortium of Breast Centers (NCBC) Inspiration Award and the American Society of Breast Disease Pathfinder Award.

She currently serves as a Board Member of the Standards and Accreditation Committee for the
National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers. She has published numerous articles and
chapters in textbooks for physicians on the psychosocial aspects of cancer and related topics.
