TARGET AUDIENCE

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of surgeons involved in the care of patients with breast cancer.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

• Perform principles and techniques for Oncoplastic Surgical approach to breast disease
• Learn techniques in “Reconstructive Lumpectomy”
• Integrate various procedures and techniques such as reduction and mastopexy when performing breast surgery
• Work in concert with colleagues to assess the Oncoplastic Surgical approach
• Describe options and timing of techniques for breast and nipple reconstruction
• Discuss with patients aesthetic approaches to breast cancer management
• Gain insight and understanding into the importance of genetic profiling
